中国陝西省の省都、西安市は新型コロナウイルス封じ込め策として住民1300万人を対象にロックダウン（都市封鎖）を実施しているが、26日遅くには大規模な消毒作業に着手した。

　　住民は家の窓を閉め、屋外の建物や植物に触らないよう求められている。自家用車を路上に置くことも禁止され、全住民が屋内にとどまるよう義務付けられた。

　　中国は27日、国内での感染者162人を報告。うち150人は西安で確認された。国境封鎖などを通じコロナ感染を徹底的に抑え込む「ゼロコロナ」戦略を続ける中国で、こうした規模の感染急増はまれだ。

　　西安では３週間足らずで600人余りに感染が拡大。西安でのコロナ流行はデルタ株によるものだが、中国では入国者がオミクロン変異株に感染していた例も数件見つかっている。来年２月４日には北京で冬季五輪が開幕する予定。
